I
have served the computer industry for over ten years, providing solid
communication and documentation. My specialties include health care and document
management. My
studies at Missouri State University, mixed with my experience as a hi-tech sales rep, produced a technical writer that has in-depth
experience of communicating the use of advance technology in layman's terms. I developed these skills while selling hi-tech
computerized hardware in dental offices, often to a staff with no prior computer
knowledge. My skills as an oral communicator transferred to paper as I
finished my technical writing degree.
My Web site highlights a variety of projects I have produced both as a technical writer. My experiences range from working with a local city government to working for a software companies to small businesses. My work includes Web sites, brochures, a proprietary computer help system, corporate style guide, software development kit (SDK), technical whitepapers, install guides, advertisements, image production, and sales materials. A separate editing portfolio, based on the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Levels of Edit is available upon request.
